opposite way of taking them off??? adjust door gaps, check door closing against door strike? drink beer? paint new hinges before installing, so they look good?

Hi My,
Hopefully the hinges left some 'tracks' in the paint which will help you get them back in place on the hinge pillar relatively close to where they originally were.
This will help you not have to start from the very beginning in locating the hinge positions.

You might get hint from inside the hinge pillar too.
