Default I'm back..81 gas tank cleanup/other
Back after an 8 year delay working on the 81 vette! Hasn't been cranked in 8 years, left gas in the tank, (nice black sludge at bottom), front tires are dry rotted flat, battery of course dead........... Got some work to do! Oh, and the previous vacuum leak(s) that put it on the shelf to begin with. (headlights, brakes, wipers all quit working properly). Good news is the crate engine with less than 200 miles on it is in and was running fine......

Took the neck off top of gas tank to get a better look inside.....hanging by a thread below. This is all that was attached to the neck cap.

Time to order sending unit!! Got to fish the sock and arm out of the bottom of the tank. Good news the inside of tank looks good. Just dirty as heck with scum on bottom...its soaking now in paint thinner
