Richard the multi link used in the late model Camaro is fare more predictable . Than the stock system , I run a Ridetech coil over setup in my 70 model, I find it a superior setup compared to the stock suspension , but I believe the Camaro setup will work better when we get back to the track. Who knows when that will be with covid hold up the world.
as for engine etc . I’m using an lsa with tr6060 , third member

9” Gforce conversion

I had to look it up, I didn't know what an LSA is. Pretty impressive.

That photo is the RH front chassis rail., I fitted a 1 3/4” x 1/8” tube through the rail .

You can see the top control arm mounting position in the top of the photo

Respectfully, I was hoping for a bit more (engineering/design) detail there.

I did the same/similar thing to mine a bunch of years ago while I was putting the C4 suspension on my spare frame.

I don't go into to much detail as there are far to many variables, and I don't think a long in-depth thesis would be suitable on the forum ,

It’s been a while, I’ve been working on a replacement front crossmember, with the view of lowing the radiator in the frame, to accommodate the OTR intake.

Hi bfit, just been refreshing my memory by going back through your photos and one thing struck me, I think you will have to fit light truck tyres to your vette to be able to cope with all the extra weight of the steel in your new chassis.

No I don’t think so.
The extras in the chassis calculates to 76 lb
The 69 currently has a 454 on board replacing that with an LSA Saves 150lb
I think total weight will be close to original
I don’t know the weight of the multi link I’ll get to that in due course,

I hope to post a few photos of the radiator support I’m building in the next few weeks , it’s 2mm material and will weigh less than the OEM part

keeping an eye on this.
if your solution works out, i might copy it for my ev project since the zl1 rear is pretty nice
problem will be shoving a tesla rear drive unit into the cradle without compromising it

Tesla drive ,and a c3 chassis , I’m thinking the trailing arm system out of a holden commodore VT-VZ the same unit is used in the GTO in the US , would lend its self to the Tesla drive .

You do amazing work. But I have to ask....Wouldn't it have been a lot easier to just build your own frame to mate with the suspension systems you selected?

The answer to your question is Yes. It would be far better to build the frame ,
. I did some work in that direction with the intension of using a c6 rear suspension , Building the chassis using 3mm vertical members and 4mm top and bottom members of the box section .
if I last long enough I’ll built a frame from scratch, I’m looking for an LT5 n transmission for that project.

Default It’s been a while

I haven’t spent any time on this for some time, this weekend I found time to fold the right hand top shock mount and weld into the frame
