Default Selling Advice

Looking for some advice as i look to sell my '74. I made a post last year about the car https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...t-fleeced.html and in that time its apparent I just don't have the time and energy to salvage the car. It's time to sell it in the hopes that someone can put what is good to good use.

I plan on listing it on these forums, craigslist and facebook selling pages. Any thoughts to other places to list the car? Also, any thoughts as to what the asking price should be?

For Sale As Is 1974 Corvette

I purchased this car as a project 5 years ago and with three kids I just don't have the time to put into it.

First and foremost, there is a good chance that the frame is bent. I had a mechanic look the car over and he said as much.

New Battery
New Gas Tank
Body is in good shape
Paint is not original
Glass is good

What needs work:
-Serpentine belt hitting cross bar for the left front Upper A Frame
-Right side A-Frame has several shims to try to get the caster and camber proper
-Right side wheel length is 1 1/2" shorter than left side
-Engine is cocked & pushed towards the driver side
-Crossmember has been re-welded
-Right front spring bucket is bent and shock hits coil spring
-Right front wheel has 2 spacers and washers stacked behind it & also the caliper is ground off because the wheel was hitting it. This is because this wheel is not the correct wheel for a Corvette.
-Master cylinder needs to be replaced
-car backfires
- Base of fuel pump is pinched at more than 90 degrees

Hi D,
I read through your thread from last year.
I'm thinking nothing has changed from then?

This car might be attractive to someone who can do what needs to be done them-self.
It can't/won't make sense to anyone who has to pay to have the repairs done.

When taking into consideration what the car's value may be when it's been straightened out, both literally and figuratively, I'd think someone might be willing to pay $2500-$3500 for it.

Regards,
Alan

It sounds like you have a GOOD wife!!!!
