Hi!

With my intake manifold off I've been looking at blocking the intake crossover.
But, I've heard that without a H pipe it sounds like ( to quote a forum member) ' two harleys chasing eachother down the road'.
After searching for more than an hour I couldn't find any clips of someone with the exhaust crossover blocked WITHOUT added H/X pipes.
Anyone who has a clip and wants to help me? ;- )

You're talking about the exhaust cross over port that goes under the carb, right?
I blocked then opened mine and I don't remember any difference in the db's.
My car actually runs better with it opened.
A H pipe or a X pipe are different animals. They are in the exhaust pipes usually around the transmission area. They can significantly lower your db's.

Yeah, I'm talking about that one It's just that I heard that IF you block the intake you should get a H/X pipe to keep some kind of crossover.Idk why though
I don't mind high dB's,any extra grunt is a plus!

Only a small amount of the exhaust gasses pass through that heat passage under the carb (when the heat riser valve is closed on the right side down-pipe). I've had several cars with that passage plugged.

There is NO difference in sound level...because of that blocked passage.
