I had my t-top's pads, rear quarter panels, rear roof panels and rear window trim re-done with fake leather on top of the original parts. Original parts were in bad shape (scratched, faded and not original interior color). The end product was the interior that fits together like a glove. Gaps are very small and the guy who did it for me really outdid himself.

The vinyl appears to be SO SOFT AND FLEXIBLE compared to the 45+ year old vinyl on the 'soft parts' on our cars!
Like the hard plastic, the vinyl was heated to nearly melting--that's how it can form over such sharp angles without tearing. Once cooled it's far stiffer.
