Default Another 'new use' Corvette!

So, I sold my '70 to a loving home (hopefully). Partially because I am not a huge fan of red and it was going to cost much much money to bring it back to Donnybrook Green unfortunately. BUT I bought a 1969 to replace her with correct color, albeit a re-paint, but original color that is blue- and I like blue!
So I have a couple questions. This is the 55th Vette made in '69 per vin number, matching numbers, with new clutch, new calipers, and new steering piston. Pretty solid, and very clean.
The shifter ball? Is it chrome or black chrome? The rocker panel covers, are they supposed to be anodized aluminum or black? And, the wiper door is painted instead of being the anodized aluminum? Weird or right? lol.
One more thing, 1969, does it have for the HVAC controls, the round push *****, or the rectangular ones?
THANKS GUYS!!!

Never-mind, I have read a few threads now, and realize that it is probably a mutt because the 69 had changed so many times during the model year.

Mutt? It's your car and you can call it what you want, but what I see looks original.

No, it is worthless with all those stupid swapped-out parts. Your best bet is to park it at my house and find a better car. While you're at it, bring that lift too...

Indeed. A mutt in a loving indearing term lol. The VIN is 00055, and I just didn’t realize how many hold over parts there were u til I started reading the numerous threads titled: early 69 v late 69. It’s weird that people seem to want ‘68 one time only parts on their ‘69s. At least that’s how I took it lol.

Hi,
I didn't think of the word 'mutt' when I looked at the photos.
I think it looks like a nice 69!!!!
Good Luck with it.
I hope it gives you lots of pleasure!!
Regards,
Alan

Welcome,
Mutts are in now!
Shift ball black chrome in 69.
Still your preference its functional.
Rockers were two piece w/ chrome upper strip and a black fiberglass lower. Pricey......
Yours are correct unless those are aluminum sprayed over in black?
Wiper door should be paint to body color for all 68-72 cars with a trim bead reveal left in the raw in stainless.
Look at a few and you'll easily see what I mean.
PS: I just re examined the pics, yours is correct as observed through the front windshield pic.

Drive it just the way it is and repair and replace as needed.
Looks very nice to me, I'd be proud to adopt that Mutt

Thanks Marshal and Alan and everyone! I am happy with her. I am learning a lot via this site, ordered the '69 book everyone raves about too. It's just funny because I thought I knew all about chrome bumper C3s since I had my 70 and now I am learning how little things changed over the years, every year... Even part way through the model year. It must have cost them money to re-engineer certain parts and pieces 2-3 times in a year. WOW.
PS rocker panels are fiberglass. I thought the guy was pulling my leg with replacements because my 70 had the aluminum ones.

I purposely put a late 69 vacuum wiper door actuator in my early 69 because it is smaller. Better to see my beautiful finned valve covers!

Mine, an early 69, like your beautiful car has the rectangular vent "*****". Nothing wrong there.
