Paint trim decoding.

GM denoted it this way because of the two tone cars being produced.
Thanks for the help.
Can you shed anymore light on the trim interior? I’ve read cloth was merely a seat cover over leather? That’s what mine has. Don’t know if it’s factory original or after market. Do you know? The code is not 131 but rather 13 I.

13I is the interior trim code for the gray (sometimes called Slate Gray) interior in 81 Bowling Green Corvettes. The Bowling Green trim tags did not differentiate between leather and cloth seat covers. So ALL Bowling Green 81's with a gray interior, show a trim code of 13I. Your car clearly has leather seats, with aftermarket cloth covers on them.
As Paul Borowski said, 33L 33U 39M is the Bowling Green codes for Silver over charcoal two-tone combination. The two-tones were only offered on 81's built at Bowling Green.
I have a Bowling Green 81, that I bought new. My car is charcoal gray metallic, with the slate gray leather interior, and my trim tag reads: 13I 39L 39U. I did quite a bit of research on Bowling Green paint and trim codes about 25 years ago, while working on the NCRS' (National Corvette Restorer Society) first 80-82 Judging Manual. 81's weren't among the fastest Corvettes ever made, but they are among the best handling and most comfortable, of the early ones.
Congratulations on your first Corvette, and welcome to the Forum!
