I'm reassembling my '76 and have a question for some of you about the radiator cushion mounts that seem hard to find. I had ordered a set from some a major parts distributor. I found out 2 weeks later that it was an 80 day backlog. The cushions on my radiator mounts have one nipple hole about an inch from one end like and look to fit a cusion in picture 1. Has anyone used the type in picture 2 and just cut off one of the nipples? (I was cringing as I wrote the end of that sentence.)
I was able to find a set of those with the double nipple and cutting one of them off worked out fine and they fit perfect. You only have to do this to the top bracket. The bottom has two holes for it.
