Default Barrett Jackson mohegan sun..

Planning on attending Barrett Jackson this Saturday in CT as a spectator....Its 45 dollars for general admission tickets through ticket master...By the time you add up the fees its more like 65 dollars a ticket.!!!!!

Anybody know if you can get these the day of the show? Or you risk it being sold out? Never attended Barrtett Jackson and it really says nothing on line about it.....Probably will call mohegan sun but you know how that goes...

Anybody attend last years show?

Personally I wouldn't spend any amount of money just to watch an auction. Doesn't BJ make enough off the sales?

And I refused to go to Mecum this year cause they raised their spectator price to $30. The rich get richer.

For just $20 on Saturday ($18 if you're a veteran or over 65), you can see about 130 vintage race cars competing on the road course at Thompson Speedway, 45 minutes north of Mohegan Sun.

This weekend is the 5th Annual Vintage Motorsports Festival at Thompson Speedway. There will be 7 race groups, made up of sports and production cars from the 50's, 60's and early 70's. A number of car corrals are also planned for Saturday. Normally I would be there crewing for one of the vintage racers, but some family commitments and health issues, are keeping me away this year.

To each his own, but personally I'd prefer to see old cars racing across a finish line, instead of being pushed across an auction block.

Walkup to the door and buy a ticket without fees...they will never sell out as long as someone is at the gate with money. I buy mine at the car shows the week before the AZ auctions at discount.

I’ve never been to this particular auction but I have been to the BJ auction in Las Vegas several times. I never bought tickets ahead of time and never had any issues getting in. I would be surprised if they sold out of spectator tickets.
I agree that it is pricey but if you like old cars it worth going to see at least once. Just my 2 cents.

I've been to BJ Scottsdale a handful of times. Never bothered to sit and watch the bidding. There are more classic/foreign/interesting cars parked in the tents to look at than any other car show I've ever been to. Definitely worth checking out, at least once.

I don't know what the other auction locations are like, but Scottsdale is an absolute spectacle. More vendors and displays, automotive or otherwise, than you can believe.

I have been to Scottsdale many times over the years, but have not been to any of the other site ones.

The great thing about going is you can see the cars right up close.

It is definitely worth going to BJ Scottsdale at least once as it is an absolute spectacle that is difficult to describe.

Scottsdale is great because there are other auctions close by at the same time, each with their own flavor.

It's a very nice location, good buffet, plenty of gambling, nice drive once of RT95. With that said no I'm not going either, it is about an 1 hr away from me. I will be building a vette diff on Sat if anyone wants to see how they are built, bring a cold one and have a seat!

There is a lot more to the B-J event than just the "over the block" cars. At least, that's the case in Scottsdale. There are lots of huge tents with all the cars for sale that NEVER see the main tent. It's fun just to walk thru all the tents and see the NORMAL cars that are for sale.

I never bought tickets ahead for any AZ show.

Thanks for all the replies....Will get up early on Saturday and go check it out....I grabbed a hotel room near by so there's no rush to get home...

I'm not sure but I heard last years event was sold out for the Saturday show....Will do some research on that and call mohegan sun...Sometimes I like talking to someone over the phone instead of everything online !!!!

I'd rather spend $65 to enter the BJ auction and possibly buy a great car rather than spend $20 to enter my car in any given car show and sit on blazing hot asphalt all day looking at the same old stuff. That's just me though.

I go check back now because I decided to go Friday instead....65 dollars each for Friday plus fees...70 for Saturday.....What a bunch of thieves.....Give me a break, why? because its getting closer to the show? Who cares?

Big turn off....I wonder if Mecum pulls the same crap....??? Fu%#ing Bu#%S%#T...

YIKES
Maybe you are better off watching it on TV
I just looked at the docket on line, there are a lot of Corvettes but
you may want to make sure the other cars are of interest
