Tach

My tachometer on my L82 has been working fine. Yesterday it just quit working Where should I start looking for in issue

By pass the filter and see what happens. Hopefully the tach will work.

If bypassing the filter doesn't work, Willcox has some great info on tach removal, testing, tach board, etc.

Tach board problems are not uncommon.

Your profile shows a 1979 L82, so that should be an electronic tach. Karol's posting with the tach filter is a good place to start.

I suspect the circuit board is more likely to fail instantaneously than the filter. But, maybe Willcox would provide some 'read' on which to check first.

P.S. If you were under the dash for some other reason, a damaged wire is the most likely suspect.
