front end alignment
I re-built the front suspension on my 68 convert about two years ago- ball joints, TR ends, idler arm, A arm bushings, new springs, shocks, sway bar, steering gear. I did not do the alignment and kept putting it off for no good reason. Yesterday I finally had it done and am kicking myself for not doing it sooner. The overall handling of the car improved 100%. It tracks straight, does not dart and follow pavement irregularities, corners well and is stable at high speeds. I'm designing a "Dumbass" sign for me to wear around my neck for about two weeks or until I stop feeling stupid.

I am glad that your alignment turned out well and you can feel the difference. The blessing in all of that is you will not make that mistake again on any vehicle you own....including this car in the future...due to an alignment does not last forever and keeping an eye on your tire wear and temperatures and how it feels can aid you in when you may need for it to be checked again.

Thanks for the good insight on this. I am trying to schedule my 75 for a front end alignment. But the shop I go to only has 1 person who
works on older cars like this and I am trying to schedule a day off when he is there. Hopefully I get the same results as you.

Unfortunately, you may have lost significant tire life...depending on how far the alignment was off. You might want to rotate your tires more often than normal to 'average' the wear on them sooner.
