Default Side mirrors
Do I have side mirror gaskets reversed on my 1977, looks like housing is too close to window.

is the thinner edge of the gasket towards the bottom?

Very likely it is installed upside down

Mine are now mounted with the thinner side of gasket facing up, took me two days to replace broken passenger side mirror, not looking forward to going thru that again...on both sides! Wish there was an easy way or tool for this.

I have yet found a way to make this go easier. As far as i know and I have TRIED to cheat the time needed. The glass needs to come out so the front track can be moved. And I have some seriously bitchin' tools and I still cannot get in there on that one nut.
