Default Wiper Motor

FInished painting my firewall this weekend, and I'm about to start restoring my wiper motor. Does anyone have pictures of theirs they've restored? I'm a little torn on how to do mine.

I'd settle for a motor that will work for more than 6 months.

The plastic cover is not painted. I put some clear polymer protectant on it to keep the plastic from dulling. The motor is painted semi-gloss black; the body is left bare aluminum. You might want to paint the aluminum so that it won't dull (VHT cast aluminum paint); or you could clearcoat it. I don't like leaving ANY bare metal in my car. If it gets rebuilt or restored, it gets protected everywhere.
