Installing power antenna on 77
I want to install an automatic retractable antenna on my 1977.
I don't trust the ***** people around here that like to bend car antennas, Mercedes star-logos, ... etc.
European here so I thought about this antenna:

The Antenna is made in Germany and is top of the line here in Europe.
Also very good price quality, and free shipping!
What is the proper way to install such an antenna on a pre-1978 C3?
Reinforcements, bolts, glue, ...?
Are there other things to bear in mind for the 'mod'?
You may need to possibly modify the square meta ground plate that is just on the underside of the body with the facotry antenna so you can possibly use it also for more reinforcement. You may need to cut to trim on the special bracket that is riveted to it for the factory antenna.
Fairly simply process but can take some time getting things to get to whee you want them. Then it is just wiring it in as the wiring diagram should show...if not CALL the company that makes it and see if their tech line can help you on that.. IF you are wanting it to work when the radio is turned and off..the is way to wire that in....due to if you still have the facotry radio...it was not wired for a power antenna if I am not mistaken.

Wiring it requires a constant +12- ground and a +12 trigger wire.
If running the stock radio there is not power ant output- here's a simple solution for 'triggering' the antenna to go up when the radio is on and down when off.
Simply connect it to a speaker lead-

I'm using an old (1976) 'Realistic' car radio.
Is it also possible make a switch to let the antenna go up and down or is that not possible.

+12V to go up- no power it goes down.
