Default 71 convertible windshield installation

I couldn't find exact answer to this question and would appreciate some help. Having a new windshield installed, but need to rechrome my original top corner pieces. Can I have the windshield installed without installing these or can I remove them after install to send for chrome? I'm in a restoration process heading the end so driving isn't an issue. Was hoping not to have to wait for the chrome process before installing windshield but want to do what is correct.
thank you for your help

Well until the rest of the group wakes up, don’t take this as 100% correct. The answer is that you can only access the screws to remove the corner chrome trim with the windshield OFF. So it must be done before you install. I failed to take the opportunity when I had my windshield redone. Interesting only my corner chrome trim is peeling , I wonder if they were by a different manufacture then the rest of the trim.

Hopefully someone will will come along and verify this. Good luck Ike

thank you. I read afraid of that. Not sure if I'm replying correctly. I've been off the site for months and not sure I'm using the mobile process correctly, but thank you

I would just purchase new corners, much better than rechroming the originals.

Isn`t that the only piece that`s chrome plated? The rest of the windshield trim is stainless steel.... not plated.

Are the remanufactured ones any good? I saw somewhere in the forum that people had fit issues. That's why I thought I needed to get chromed.
