Hey bfit, sorry for the delay, finally got around to taking some photos of my hooks - unfortunately I don't think they'll help you much as I've utilised the crash bars/mountings in the later c3s and I suspect your car is quite different in the same area.

The front hook is mounted to the front crash bar/vacuum tank which extends forwards from the chassis rail. Hard to get pics without pulling off parts, but hope this helps. I used a piece of angle iron bolted to the vac tank, then bolted the hook to that:

At the rear I did similar, bolted a piece of angle iron with the bolts that attach the rear crash bar, then bolted the hook to that. It's off to the side tucked up next to the exhaust pipe.:

Not suggesting that this is the best way to do this, it was a hurried job the day before a competition where I'd been told they were going to be strict on requiring tow points. But it's neat, not too obnoxious as a street car, and solid enough that I'm happy they'll do the job if they're required. If I were planning to use them regularly (eg for winching on and off a trailer) then I probably would have gone for something a bit different and more centrally located, but as a hook to meet cams requirements I'm reasonably happy with them.

thanks Mate
I don't know about the rear connections , as the 70 model is light as in the rear frame.
the 74 was more sturdy and 75 up get stronger in the rear. around the compression system.
I'll check out the front end again, I have made the bracket that mounts to the centre of the car front. as above in earlier post.
