Help! I have removed door panel and there doesn’t seem to be anything loose. Sounds like maybe a fiberglass rub.?
constant as soon as you start moving. Anyone had this experience.
Thanks
Does the sound occur with a window up or down and with or without the T-tops installed?
Since you have the door panel off, make sure the two pads at the top of the door that hold the glass in place are not worn and in proper alignment. Also lube where the door latch and lock rods where they meet the mechanism. They usually have a rubber grommet on them so they do not bang against the metal door panel when moving (left side in picture below from my 73 driver side). A bit of lube on that would help.

Thanks Fran. Doesn't matter if window is up or down. Has power windows. The sound seems to be from the lower section of the door. The grommets are installed and still had the original clear vinyl sheet under the door panel. I don't see any rub wear marks on the door anywhere. I think I will try to run the car with someone holding the door open.
Thanks again for responding. Love driving my 73.

Does this noise occur when the door is opened/closed or when the vehicle is moving? Most open/close noises are from dried-out lube on the door's hinges. Rattles when opening/closing the doors are usually anti-rattle pads between glass and pads at upper edge of door...or from missing/worn pads or the rubber isolater piece on or under actuator rods. Noises when the car is moving (or just starting to move) are often due to wheel trim rings that are loose or not fully locked into the wheel. The trim rings can definitely cause squeaks which may make sound with each tire revolution.
