Maybe I'm blind, but I didn't see any flexible coupling disc in that assembly. The rest of the components look decent. Don't know what materials they are made from...but it looks OK.
It appears to be a solid puck, not the layered woven design GM used. I personally would not use it on my vette, I would go with a u-joint over that but the best is a NOS GM just be prepared to pay $200+ for a real one.
Gary... I'm still trying to find the correct material... not having much luck though... everything in the states seems to be gone. I've got one more shot at this and I'm having a meeting with them on Thursday of next week.
Good luck, that would be great but I recall Tom Reina telling me at least 7-8 years ago the material was gone then and he stopped making the rags. His were as good as the Saginaw rags.
I have had some luck at wrecking yards finding a clean low mileage GM grandma car and taking the rag joint apart and just using the rubber in my old one. Kinda a rag joint rebuild. Worked for me. Just my .02
