As always the first answer is that it is your car and you should do with it what you want. My thought though is that unless it is something rare and original like the engine, tranny etc.why would you bring it back? Lots and lots of work to do so. I hate to say it but if the styling is not for you sell it and buy what you like.

Personally, and I am an "original" type of guy, I like it, everything except the two light rear end. two much empty space.. I agree with the above, add a second set of lights and the corvette badge back. Have fun!!! Ike

Leave it alone for a while. Drive it. Enjoy it. It will come up with something for you to work on. You can change it later. Mean time the word CORVETTE between those tail lights in chrome might break up the largess of that tail light panel. Bunch of different crossed flag emblems available too. Not like correct original is much of a necessity here. Also the exhaust openings are gone with tailpipes out the bottom. Looking back they are all like that. Guess it was the look they were going for. Meanwhile, serf eBay for 68-73 taillight panels. Busted up pieces with intact light buckets. Easier to replace if you have them.

Why mess with perfection? IMO the rear end of a chrome bumper C3 is the best looking rear end ever designed.

Then why ruin it with a rack?

Your car is super sweet i even dig the color if i had it i would likely only do one thing and then just drive drive drive, but i fully understand why others like to personlize their c3 some look great others fail but i respect the owners.

Gm didnt make what i call the perfect c3 so i have too.

Bats, we've been down this road before on customs. You know I don't mind them and like you say I fully understand why other like to personalize their C3. Some customs I like and others I don't. It all subjective. As far as the rack goes. Try telling your wife she can only pack one outfit for a week long vacation. lol Luggage racks on convertibles are a necessity IMO. I didn't think so until I bought my C3 and then went on a trip. We tried to pack all our stuff inside with the top down but it didn't work. That's when I thanked my lucky stars that I bought a C3 with a rack. Would I have bought a convertible without it? Yes.
