I've seen several forum members build these wood platforms to support their C3's rather than using jack stands.
I am going to build some for my project.
How long are the individual 2" X 4" s and did you just screw them together?
Thanks
I made each one 16 inches so I could get an equal amount out of an 8 foot 2x4. And yes they are screwed together and work great. Just figure how high you want to go and then get the wood.

I think I'll be building a set of those too. I'm sure much more economical that Race Ramps.
Did you use standard pine 2x4's? Also, being approx. 12" high, how hard is it to jack the car high enough to place the wheels in them?

Standard 2x4's. I place a 4x4 on the jack head. I jack it and then put jack stands and then jack it to where I need it.
A little update on my work. I have the body bushings done. Cleaned up some more of the front frame. Disassembled the car. Stripped all the paint. Did what ever body work turned up. Now I am putting it into feather fill and then block sanding it. I have probably painted about 15 vettes and if you ever get to do one you will realize why people charge $15000 to paint one. Between stripping it and primer and blocking. Then the paint and buffing. It is alot of work. Just masking the car can take few hours. And that has to be done between each step. I am about half way now. I plan on painting it in May. After paint I still have the Holley Sniper fuel injection to get done.
