Thinking about chambered exhaust.
love it, hate it?
My 68 L79 has the stock exhaust and I feel like it could be a bit more aggressive. I’ve never had a car with chambered exhaust one thing I wondered, does it look odd not having mufflers in the back?
Personally I love the sound. Yes they are loud when going thru the gears and hammering the go fast pedal but I don’t mind. Also, they have the best “burble” when you let off the gas....

Here are the two systems we offer... The chambered is probably our most popular system. It sounds great with a beater camshaft and it sounds great with a stock one. Either system can be ordered for a car with or without headers as well. Keep in mind the 1972 in the second video has a huge camshaft... so it's a bit deceiving... The engine will play a huge roll in how the systems sound.
Personally.. I like the dual chambered systems, one as a resonator and the rear as a muffler. That's what is on the video in the lower section.
But the chambered system below is mellow and sounds way better than the the stock exhaust...

I love this exhaust, but I won't sell or carry the MA exhaust, I've had too many issues with it.

I've had this exhaust on the black car since 2002 and it still looks new and I also have ceramic coated headers on this car (Headman)
I don't know what year your car is but the best rear hanger to install this kit is the 1973 car type. The other issue would be the transmission bracket... if you are going 2.5" you'll need to contact me or change the trans bracket... I can direct you to the correct center bracket. I love this car but sadly... I'm going to sell it... I've owned it for years I've probably only driven it 400 miles in 15 years. Someone else needs to enjoy it. It needs to have the cam removed, the car was built to the customers specs years ago... and then I ended up buying it.... why... don't mention the why part to my wife.. lol..
The heads need to changed back to the original heads.... the cam needs to be lowered.... it's just not a practical car to drive... Damn thing gets like 6 blocks to a gallon.... and besides, if I wan't to go stomping, I've got my old 62 and my 70 convertible to cure that fix.
I'm probably going to post this up in the for sale section in the spring. It is a numbers matching 79k mile original car and I saved all the original parts so the heads are original, We restored this car to the customers liking but personally... it's over-cam'd.
I have the original intake, manifolds, distributor, and the engine is original with a matching trans and rear end.... The car is an AT car though, tilt tele, deluxe interior with goofy fish on the fenders (under the clear coat)... I don't have the original carb... only thing missing and the car was original that fugly orange color.

I don't have any issue with the ghost flames on this car, I love them but those goofy stingrays we air brushed under the clear coat.... I could do without.
The sad part is that this car just sits... It's a great car but like I said, practicality wise... it's not.
I'm probably going to pull the cam, remove the heads (Iron eagle) and put the car back to stock or close.
It's got the MSD kit on it too... (which I advise no one to buy) and I'll probably remove it and put the original distributor back in it. I've just not decided 100 percent.
Like I tell my wife, "it ain't eating anything".... but I'd like to give it a home that is appreciative of it, this car needs to be enjoyed not stored...
I'll answer the Cham question later tonight... the wife is giving me the evil eye.

This is the kit you'd want.... But I'd go with the chambered II, the chambered I is too loud in my humble opinion; The chambered II has resonators and mufflers and is the same mellow sound that I've posted in the video above.

Now there are higher flowing systems out there.......but for the money this was a great compromise.
