Not yet, but next to do on my list. Carb and spring tune-up done. I will start a new thread and update on this install soon.

sorry to bring an old post back to life. Can anyone provide tips on how to install these lights? I have an 81 and I've tried installing them but the back part of the light won't fit into the bucket. Seems like I will have to modified the bucket (cutting the hole bigger) in order to secure the lights.

As far as modding the bucket to make it larger- here's how I opened it up and made it pretty-

A scrap piece of metal- vice gripes and a hole saw-

Drilled a pilot hole and aligned it up in the middle- carefully used the hole saw- it's potmetal- pretty easy to drill.

Did you call Octane Lighting? It seems the model numbers or offerings change a lot both on Amazon and Ebay. If you haven't, then call Octane and tell them what you want. They will tell you what they have. That's what I did and the sales rep sent me to an ebay auction. I could have also purchased right there on the phone, but it was just easier to go to Ebay.

Do you have a link?

I did talk with them, but they said the 4000 lumen units were out of stock for a few month and would require bucket trimming. Something must have changed?

I had found a similar set from Octane on Ebay that they recommended as a exact fit, The lenses seem the same but Lumen s are listed as 2500, vs 4000 of the set posted above? would they be bright enough?

I will post a link to a post I made here on the forum with a video, some pics, and a brief discussion of a little bit of weirdness I had to do to get them to work that probably wouldn't apply to most people. The post also has a link to the Ebay auction I was directed to by Octane staff, but when I click on it, the page says updated by seller. The price is about 20 dollars higher than I paid. They are listed at 2500 lumens which I what I am pretty sure mine are. They are plenty bright for me, and have held up so far. Check out the link.
