Anyone who buys a C3 and proceeds to fix it up, in hopes of turning a large profit is plain NUTS. Most of us just plain out enjoy our cars, whether fixing them or taking them out for a drive. I plan on giving my car to my son in law when I pass, I know he will enjoy the car as much as I have.

The production numbers each year were also much lower than the C3. I maintain that most of the high C2 price is due to relative scarcity, not due to high demand.

look on the bright side, if the c 4s brought big money you probably would not own 4 of them.

I don’t have the codes anymore, but I believe the two big option codes for the 73’s are for the 454 cu in and the off road brakes and suspension packages.

Most of the one-year-only features on a '73 are things buyers DON'T want: urethane bumpers (anywhere), catalytic converter (I thought it was '74 for this, but maybe it's a CA car), fixed rear window, blah, blah. No offense, I like the '73s and I've wondered the same thing....not only why it isn't worth MORE than other years, but why is is worth LESS than '74-77 cars???
But, it is what it is. You got it at a cut-rate price being a '73...when you sell (if you sell it) the price will be proportional then, too. Anyone can ask for whatever they want to get for it. But the BUYER determines the actual value of these cars. And, the data show that the '73s are generally lower price than the chrome bumper cars and other mid-70's C3's.
