So getting back to the cost. Better to ask how many hours labour to replace the clutch at a garage and then multiply that by your local labour rates. I would not go to a dealer either.
I have a 72 with 350 motor, I bought the clutch and throw out bearing. How much would I expect to pay for labor? How many hours does it take?
OP
I know what you want is a quote ... call around ...
...also ... understand you have clutch (assume it's clutch friction disc) ...do you also have the clutch cover aka pressure plate? Do you have new pilot bushing? Bushing's cheap but it takes time to get old one out of crank. Do you understand the flywheel is likely in need to be removed and SENT OUT to local machine shop to have it resurfaced ??? ... or if FW's really bad, replace? w/New FW? Foregoing is SOP not pipedream.
Also, maybe trans front & rear seals leaking? A Lot or a little, NOW's time to replace those too.
