They (CA via Ecklers, because I don't know why they can't talk to me directly at this point) asked for more pictures once more....I compared it to what I think was my stock pass side pad, and the gap is less but still has gap. I don't have my stock upper dash anymore so can't compare it.
I understand they are 70's cars but to be honest, I've had a couple 70's cars way back when you couldn't get much good repro stuff and this takes the cake...

CA is sending me shipping labels and it's all going back. They stated it's most likely the top dash piece that's the issue but offered me to return it all so we can start fresh. Couldn't ask for more! looking forward to new pieces, hopefully it all fit better and can move forward. With those out of the car it pretty much halts the custom console install...but whatcha gonna do, at least it's being handled!
oh it's time for a little update...by the time they all figured out shipping labels and such, I didn't get the parts out until Friday 4/19. It had to go back to Ecklers, for them to ship to CA...because having me shipping them to CA directly would have only made sense....
CA didn't get them until the 29th I believe.
As of this morning, Ecklers has emailed me saying CA is still looking at the parts and will update at the end of the week...

Progress!
Updating the interior is one of the most satisfying DIY jobs.
You will have an ear to ear smile on your face as you find that each replacement fits properly and looks good!
So it's worth the wait.
Looking and updating:
How many 'board members meetings' will it take before they figure out that the parts you returned are defective?

evidently at least 3:
1) get together to schedule a meeting
2) have a meeting
3) get together for a meeting about the meeting, possibly have results, if not that's ok lunch was provided
yes I have worked in large corporation...what gave it away ? LOL
Finally got my parts back last thursday 5/16... they "re-worked" the upper dash corners looks like, and doesn't look like they did anything with the lower pieces. I have not yet fitted them to the car (work, family and other things going on)...so hopefully they fit....
