Seller also says 1974 original color was Dark Green (painted BC CC Dark Metallic Brown) but pictures of the interior are clearly tan. Website Im looking at shows Green only came with Black, Dark Blue, Silver interior.
Website is wrong, 1974 Corvettes in Dark Green were also available in Medium Saddle, as was Dark Brown. Also available in neutral. Corvette Black Book My trim tag, 74 Coupe, Dark Green with Medium Saddle interior.

He's going to have to look at the Trim Tag to be sure, it is, what it is (or was...).
Techoca, love the convertible! That's a super rare car. The owners of the convertible, weren't that same people who came here, wanting to swap the paint to red, were they? I remember replying to that post, begging them not to paint it red. They said they'd keep it Dark Brown and I'm glad they did. Certain cars that came born that way, should stay that way (at least mostly ). Mine was such a thrashed out street race car, I didn't bother keeping it OG, but I am keeping it Dark Brown.

No sir, that’s an original 454 vert, the owner wouldn’t dream of a color change. I love the more rare colors myself, Dark Brown is cool.
Both Green and Brown were pretty rare colors. Haven't seen many green '74's if, ever. What condition is the paint, despite the low mileage?
I asked about details of paint: Seller: "Paint is not original. It was born Dark Green, but some time in its’ life, it was changed to the present Dark Brown Metallic. The current condition would indicate re-do to bring it to show condition. In general parlance, it’s a twenty footer. From a short distance, it looks good, but up close, it shows signs of stressing. (i asked if it was crazing) Yes to the “crazing”. My only conclusion would be the Green was not a preferred color for the owner at the time. Part of the history presented to me was that it was left in a garage/barn for 15 years. Perhaps that led to a worsening paint condition. Purely speculation on my part of course. Clear coat which part of the fading."
Especially if it matches the trim tag, that '74 would get repainted green immediately. I'd likely bring a razor to the sale and start peeling before I drove home. Perhaps you are now leaning that way? 74 454 auto, with a proper, show-quality respray back to green? That would be a beautiful car, and more original than it sits now.

Just not as much fun to drive as the 4-speed...
I have a 1968 4 spd L-89 tripower convertible. I got the 4 speed covered and then some.
UPDATE:
So I checked out the 74 BB Vette and boy what a disappointment. I thought it was a "9" in the pictures and description but it turned out to be a "3.7". It was no 12K org mile car, I think it was 212K. Very nice owner but this vette needed a complete restore. Interior shot, tired, seats, blower fan, AC and blinker didn't work. Dash and door panels crumbling/cracked, seats had rips, big ugly tach gauge strapped to steering column, door panels shot, carpet faded 4 shades... Paint clear completely faded, cracks, spiderwebs.
Wow what a disappoint. He said he put $10k INTO the car. His rock bottom was $14k. I thanked him for the time to view it and drove off.

Too bad and sad the seller misrepresented the car. You were right to walk away from that one and of course, you knew better, having lots of C3 experience.
If he put $10K into that '74, he has already used it up! Even before you got to the real state of the '74, I would have recommended going with the '69. (if I had to choose between them)
An "Earth" color [brown] car is a really hard-sell in the 21st century....especially if it was born in green.
