I like it so far...would like to see it in person. Going to the Bowling Green Corvette museum in September and will check it out. Here is a good video:

I never like the new models that roll out, but eventually come to like them (). I do like the idea that the mid engine Corvette has actually come to pass after what 60 years?. Price under 60K is pretty impressive considering the base C7 started at 57 58? and the new C8 has almost 500hp and better handling, Wow! The sharp lines to me resemble the exotic imports, might eventually try to get one, but I am never selling my 68!!! I have come to realize that as soon as you get the latest and greatest Corvette, GM comes out with another new and much better model!

From what I have seen, I like most of it. The thing that I may not be thrilled about is what appeared on TV to be a the wide rear end because of the vent on the side. I am like my friend 20Mercury though; sometimes when a new generation comes out, I do not immediately like it but eventually I normally warm up to it. I am concerned that the new configuration may not allow for a convertible, or if it does it may look awkward because of a protruding thing on the back deck to allow for top storage (like the Porsche). For me, I am a convertible guy and would not buy another new Corvette coupe. I own a C7 and that will be my last new Vette anyway because I am retiring next year and I cannot spend that much money on a car after I retire. I am happy with my C3 and my C7 anyway. I have lived out all of my car fantasies.

Did the later models change styling cues as much as the C3s?
Most of the car was a homerun to me, except the rear. Not that is looks similar to a camaro which many have stated.
To me it looks more like something you'd see on a Honda...

Looks more like a Camaro than a Corvette. But, it's nice looking and wouldn't kick it out of my garage. I'd love to drive one, some day....or a ride in one would be nice. Doubt that I would ever own one--unless my C3 becomes as valuable as the sticker price!

My first impression is that the styling looks gimmicky. That said, the car deserves an up close look and walk around. I'll catch it at the NCM.

I like it a lot. Not seeing anything in it that reminds me of a Camaro. Have to take a close look at Carlisle next month.
Could consider buying one of these.
