A convertible split window?

I'll say.

He's probably right. The 65 to 69 late-model Corvair handled really well, and accepted mods easily. I autocrossed and tracked mine. The suspension, front and back, is very similar to that of a C3 (rear coil springs vs. transverse being the big difference, and the Corvair's front crossmember can be removed with the entire suspension attached). The big advantage is that it is easy to get a Corvair under 2000 lbs.

I had a Ralph Nader for President sticker on mine, to get inside people's OODA loops. I still got plenty of comments.

I have had many conversations over the years with people who wanted to chat about cars, but it was obvious they didn't really know accurate details about the car(s) they were talking about. It's all good - they just wanted to be a part of it, so let them and move on.
