Don’t forget to change those nuts on the two bolts holding the radio and gauge bezel
to the lower console to coupling nuts that way you can get to them. With ac they are
really hard to get to. Good luck with your project.
I need to look into the coupling nuts you are talking about. I’m trying to remember the disassembly process and imagine putting it together. It’s been a few years!!! I’m trying to think how the coupling nuts make it easier? Because they’re longer so it makes it easier to grab them???
I'm not concerned about NCRS and plan on keeping my basket-case so I added 12" to each wire and joined them with molex plugs. Now I can pull out any section of the dash as work/replace gauges/bulbs with no hassle of reinstalling the dash sections.
extra length was added to left side of quick disconnect plug.
I really appreciate all the tips. I’ve finally got my car home from paint and will be putting things back together and hopefully getting to the interior and deciding how to tackle it. I will start a different thread showing the car build up to now.
