Default 1968 Radiator seal

Can someone shed some light on correct radiator seal installation. I installed a seal kit and a new DeWitt radiator but I obviously followed the AIM incorrectly. I installed the side pieces on the back surface of the core support, the radiator does not press against them as I assumed, there is a gap on each side. So not correct. I will purchase a new set of seal but would love input for proper placement of the pieces around the core support. Pictures would be helpful if someone has any. 1968 L79 with the aluminum radiator. Steel shroud.
Thanks for any help.

That kit is junk, I bought one from Wilcox that was made by Corvette America. Half of the seals are the wrong size and don't stick after you run the car for a few miles. I hear the kit from doc rebuild is better.
