Fascinating...Wonder if there are any usable parts left. ? Probably see this on CL next month. Restoration project. One owner, low miles numbers matching.
One of mine met the same fate. I sold a real nice '80 Red, 4 speed to friend of mine years ago. Partying hard one night, speeding, missed a curve in the road and sailed it out into the lake. bye bye nice Corvette.
From: South of Phoenix Arizona, but North of no-where.
Actually, I have to say quite a few years ago a cop told me about a Harley they pulled from a river that was sitting in their evidence room getting ready to be auctioned off. It was considered ‘abandoned’ by the owner who dumped it. It was a 1954 and was in the river for a few months. I bought it for $5.00. No title. Just a township receipt. A new seat, it needed tires anyway, and a years work. A used short block got me a title and I had a real nice bike for many years finally selling it 10 years later for 5 grand. Of course the ‘lost title’ laws were a bit easier then and they did not mind I used the engine serial number instead of the vin number but a little water and a lot of mud didn’t hurt a thing.....lol
Funny, I just watched that on U-Tube last weekend! I found it a little tiresome watching the key speaker. To much of a showboat. Interesting watching the process. Once.
