help identifying this
Hello everyone!
I am very new to Corvettes.
This is listed as 1976 Corvette Stingray Coupe.
6 tail lights and a fin in the center of the rear glass.
I am waiting for the vin to try to research it.
I am unable to find anything with a rear window like this...or the 6 tail lights for that matter.
Any advice or information would be helpful.
Thank you!

It is a badly customized car. Judging by it's condition and where it is sitting move on to something else.

I hate it, but I love it! Could be a fun project car.....assuming you don't mind spending a lot of time and $ on it.
It's a custom. All that stuff was the vision of someone else. Those vettes did not come from the factory that way.

Yeah, I was afraid that it was customized when I could not find anything like it.
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge.

If it has been sitting in that place (outside) for many years, there is likely not much left of the frame. But, check it out to see what condition the frame is in. If you are OK with the customized items and the frame/birdcage are not rusted badly, you might be able to pick that "shell" up for $1500-2500. It would be good if the engine and trans were still in the car. If not, maybe $1000 might take what's left.
If you are a good mechanic, it could be interesting work. If that's not your strong suit, I'd recommend that you take a pass on this one.

I would look elsewhere. It most likely will cost 3+ times what its worth to restore it.
PS.
Welcome to the CF

This is called a 'wet dream-in-bondo'.
We're waiting for the weeds to grow up around it and put our eyeballs out of our misery.
The little blow molded wagon is worth more.

Thanks everyone! He stopped replying to my messages when I asked for the VIN anyway....
So yeah, I am definitely going to leave this right where it is and move on to other options.
Thank you for your advice!

This is one of those "I wish these damn bodies would just rust away like other cars so innocent people don't see the shape of a corvette and assume it's still worth buying" cars.

How did those triple tail lights work anyway? Were the extra 2 backup lights or just running lights?

They worked any way the customizer wanted them to work.

Give the owner a $1 and then use it for target practice.
Tell the owner it's an eyesore and should be buried rather than letting nature take it's course.
It;'s not even fit to use as a flower pot.
