What year is your Corvette. When we know that, we can determine whether they are correct or not. If it is a 73, you have them configured correctly.

Those do not appear to be 'stock' exhaust outlets. They appear to have larger diameter tubing going into the housing than what came from the factory.

But, to answer your question: Place them on whichever side allows the housing to be best centered in the opening for it. There is some amount of angle offset on your inlet tubing. Depending on how your exhaust pipes approach that area, you will need to make 'adaptations' for best fit. You may have to 'adjust' the position of the exhaust pipes for getting this fit to be 'good'.

As stated, those are for a 73 ONLY and require mufflers configured as a 73 to fit properly. Correct 73 mufflers will have the larger pipe outlets angled slightly. Factory type mufflers are bigger round than 68-72 and are often replaced with the thinner 68-72 mufflers. Some aftermarket or higher performance mufflers are configured as 68-72 but can be used on 73's with the 70-72 tips. Chip.
