Default What are these?

I suspect they are for a 73 because I bought some parts from a guy who had owned a 62 and a 73. They are a very dense foam rubber, and are clearly a right and a left, because the taper on the back side is shaved opposite on one versus the other. They are roughly 6" long. I am open to learning newqthings today!
Any help is appreciated.

I believe they go in the voids in the cargo area above rear tires behind trim panel.

Aren't those shaped more like the state of Texas?

Might be part of the radiator/shroud sealing.

Agree, when you pull your rear clip off, hopefully you will find them, LOL's! I think they are for noise reduction and or vibration.

I think those pieces you are referring to were made out of
Styrofoam or at least they were in 1972. Ike

Mine are shaped differently ('71 coupe), but are made of the same, dense, black foam.

On my 72 the foam piece behind the quarter trim is the texas shaped piece like this one

and the one at the back to hold the carpet out flat would be like this (if I had one)

I don't recall coming across anything (yet) that looks like those 2 foam pieces on my 72 but those a pretty small and mine might well have been missing them
