Alan71 is a true artist. His pictures are even quality. That level of attention to detail is rare. I wish he would come back to the forum, and hope he is doing well. Whomever gets the car next will truly have come across a gem......what do you think that car would sell for today? I would say at least $100K or more.

It would be nice if he’d just drop in once or twice a year and say “hi” and let us know what he’s up to and how he’s doing! He doesn’t have stay or take questions.... he has already left his mark here ...... to old timers and relative newbies like me! Alan was one heck of a guy! He is definitely missed! Best wishes to him no matter what he is doing!!
When I was looking for a steel bumper Alan offered to look over any photos and /or info on the cars that I could send him. He steered me clear of a few and I think him for that. I hope the above post doesn't mean what I think it does, if so we lost a great one.
Quick question - what black paint did you use for the very matte/satin areas with little to no sheen - I always find it hard to get a satin black paint that looks factory as they typically have too much gloss/sheen in them.
Thanks in advance,.

Hi Last Triumph. Not sure who you are asking your question about low sheen black paint but I’ll offer SEM Trim Black spray. I’ve used this paint countless times on numerous project builds and have NEVER been disappointed. As an example of what this paint can do, I’ve attached a photo of an engine bay from a ‘67 C10 truck build I did a couple winters ago. The spray can gave professional results...

I have 366 of his photos saved. Probably a lot are duplicates fromt CraigH post. I can post them either way.
Just an idea that has probably been discussed in previous threads:
Even if you made separate threads: Alan/s Vette Pics Phase 1...Alan/s Vette Pics Phase 2......etc.......
You could divide them into 20 pics per "Phase ____" to make it easier for you to post them.
If you don't have the time we could each take the different "Phase" Threads and put the pictures into categories:
Bumpers......Grills.......Body Fiberglass....Engine Bay.....Frame.....ETC.
As other members said...It would be a great Tribute to Alan in case he drops by to see how things are going.
