Default Alan71 Photos

I have seen a number of people looking for Alan's great photos but unfortunately most are now blurred by "Photobucket".

So I am uploading all those I have collected over the years.

Please add any others you have.

Thank you Alan71.....

Awesome photos - such attention to detail. Alan71 is missed here. Maybe one day he will return.

One has to remember that Alan's photos are very detailed they are not with out errors of what was original. Some are because reproduction items are not perfect and or errors in correct finishes that were originally used. Alan and I spoke many times at NCRS events I and gave him detailed photos of unrestored Corvettes I had taken for over 40 years. One must always remember a Corvette build on Sept 1st 1970 may not have the same bolts, finishes and other items as one built June 1st 1971. In most cases if you have a Corvette to restore and it is 75% original when disassembling the car if it looks unmolested use that as you data to restore. So now 75% of the car will tell you it finish, manufacture, part number and how it was assembled.

I think like me you become tired or overloaded with requests and questions. Personal I left the NCRS and Bloomington judging and the NCRS Board of Directors for similar reasons plus many others. At all times family is first.

I'm sure glad you guys posted these pictures, thank you. I was lucky to have Alan71 give me pointers when I first arrived at CF and make me feel at home. He sure put together one hell of Corvette. What a beauty !

I wish him well whatever he's doing. He was a treasure trove of information even to us that haven't correctly restored our corvettes.

Yes, Alan is certainly missed and his photo documentation was/still is superb. Thanks for starting this thread Craig and for posting all those pictures. I don't think I've ever seen the ones of the unrestored car!
