The detail in these photos of Alan's restoration are waaaaay beyond spectacular! His attention to the details is amazing and when he corresponded or posted to your request, the photos and accompanying photos were so logical and detailed it was truly an amazing help! Thanks for taking your time to post all that you have.

So true! I also own a 71 and Alan was always there to help me and guide me in the right direction. Now CraigH is the man who helps me enormously with my issues.

Yes indeed and another who is very willing to give advice, photos and "free to a good home" items is David Howard. He has been a great source of detail, innovation and experienced information.
These members, as well as many others who will provide their expertise daily is what makes the Corvette Forum so beneficial to us all. Great thanks to those listed and the many other contributors to this forum.
AND, special thanks to those who started and those who still maintain it!

Reason: correction
This is all I have sorted. I have all of 541 of them from his CF profile saved but they are unsorted.
I was always impressed not only by the photos that Alan had but possibly even more by how he could quickly retrieve them.
I believe he once said he had them grouped somehow related to the NCRS judging system or book or something. Wish I had that kind of organization

I support Alan in his decision, whichever it may be. I hope we hear from him again. I miss him and I will miss his help when I start to disassemble my 71.
I'm counting on you guys out there to give me a helping "hand" with it!
I've had my own stash of Alan's pics on my phone over the past 10 years I've been a member here. As a fellow architect, I assume he gets some of his organizational skills from that profession, but my OCD is not up to par with his. His pics have helped me immensely with my 72 restoration!
I'm gonna have to find the thread that @doorgunner mentioned, I've wondered what happened to him!
I'm subscribed, but Alan's photos are so detailed, they really should be on a Sticky at the top. Just an amazing treasure trove for all of us when we get stumped, need inspiration, or just need a good drool. Thanks Alan71 for chronicling this and thanks to everyone else that have worked to keep these available for our use despite Photobucket's best efforts to squash it.
Someone please find the thread on where he is and. Possibly make it a sticky. Also I haven't heard anytime from the guy that had the 78 L-82 haven't heard anything from him.
I spoke with Alan a couple of months ago. He's doing well and is enjoying a new hobby... I don't think that he is spending a whole lot of time with his car, but sometimes it helps to step back from things from time to time.
I'll leave it at that. Alan can fill in the details if he chooses to return, but for general knowledge, he is doing well.

Thank you very much for sharing that information. Give Alan a warm regards in my name.
