Problem solved - No more annoying squeaky spring noise!!
Finally took care of the annoying squeaking, sort of like worn box springs in a bed, that was coming from inside the right side of the cabin. Much of the advice I received said it was most likely coming from the jack storage compartment. In fact, the previous owner suggested jamming a towel in to muffle the noise. The solution I liked best was to remove the jack and to make a template and then cut a sheet of 1/8" rubber to match the footprint of the compartment. I also used a strip of rubber between the jack and the retention spring used to hold it in place, in order to isolate metal to metal rubbing. Figured that should solve the problem, but a test drive immediately proved otherwise.
After a few more drives I tried pressing my arm against the passenger seat and that seemed to eliminate or at least reduce the squeaking. When I had a passenger in the seat, I realized the squeaking was almost non-existent. So I removed the seat back from behind the seat which gave me access to the springs, and planned to spray some silicon where metal might be rubbing in order to eliminate the problem. It was then I discovered that 3 staples must have come loose and were vibrating on the springs. Also a metal ID tag was also rubbing. After removing them, it seemed good, so I closed it up and went for a test drive and now, no more problem! Perfectly quiet.
I'm guessing it's possible that some others may have experienced a similar annoyance, and if so, perhaps it's the same problem. Anyway, hope this proves helpful.
