Default 1981 SPEC primer only Corvette

I have a friend in my neighborhood that reached out to me about a 1981 Corvette he has that he was wondering if it was worth fixing up or not. I went over to take a look at his house with my trusty Corvette Black Book, just to see if it was your basic run of the mill 1981 Corvette or if it was a rare option car. Two things stood out to me as being odd about the car. The first was the VIN, 1G1AY876XBS418328. The second thing that was odd was the car was painted a pearlescent white, and we were trying to figure out what the original color was. When we check the trim tag inside the drivers door, we noticed something odd, that when looking in the Black Book, would list this car as a one of one from the St. Louis factory. Where the paint code should be, all it says is SPEC. The trim tag appears to be original and has over spray from when the car was painted a pearl white. Wanted to reach out to you with a few pictures and this information to see if the is really the 1 of 1 Primer only 1981 that was built in St. Louis. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Subscribed. I wonder, if actually one of one, what value it adds, and would it need to be returned to primer? Good luck on finding out.
