I have used one a time or two. I believe someone actually makes a hand-held device just for the purpose of drying the car....

While you're at it, use it to blow the dirt out of the garage (hold your breath, or wear a mask).

Actually, do this BEFORE you wash the car. Ask me how I know...

I use a small electric leaf blower on my bike - a million nooks and crannies in there to get water out of.16 years later it hasn't caused any problems.

If you're worried there are electric blowers intended for cars with big name sponsors that cost ten times as much.

I use my gas one on mine all the time. works great to get the water out of areas like the back lights and so on. otherwise if you wash it and put it back in garage the water sits there where you cant see it and the less water on my car the better.

Totally fine, and recommended over using any sort of towel / chamois. I have the rigid wet vac that turns into a leaf blower.

I've never used a leaf blower to dry my cars, but a neighbor regularly dries his 76 with one.

I just spent a month in Florida, and while there I took my truck to a car wash in Cape Coral. At the drying station at the exit of the car wash, they had air hoses with blow guns, and went around each car blowing water out of all of the body lines, emblems, nooks, crannies and crevices. I've done this myself at home, but have never been to a car wash that did that.

Well, anybody needs an inexpensive electric blower I bought one of these last year:
Amazon Amazon

It has a rheostat you can turn the power way down with and when you turn it up hang on to the damned thing. Not kidding about that.
Home Depot actually gave me the best price on it. .

Depends on how you've used that blower before. If it has had any 'junk' go thru it (dirt, sticks, etc), I wouldn't use it to dry my car. If you know that the inside has always been clean, go for it.

If electric...might suggest to make sure it is plugged into a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFI) receptacle for safety if there is still water on the ground.

I typically use the air hose off my air compressor for the tight spots. Use super soft used old bath towels on the rest of the car.

Any leaf blower that does not crunch up leaves.

I use the small Milwaukee M18 blower, It works very well and is portable, takes the M18 batteries that my tools use.

When my friend passed I wound up with the expensive one that the car / Wayne Carini shows push. I see no difference - except the expensive one is 115 volts and has a cord.

I dont see a problem using the leaf blower. I use my air compressor to blow out the water around the emblems, tail lights and other trim.

My concern is somewhere between now and the 20th wash, somehow I would accidentally 'whack it' with the tip and put a big scratch on it. Seems like everytime I get a 'bright idea' it ends up costing me something in the end ...LOL.

So, use extreme care.
