Would this paint work for the polyester of the engine bay? Rust-o-leum combicolor multi-surface https://www.rawlinspaints.com/home/m...i-surface.html 'Can be applied on many different substrates like wood, metal, mdf, masonry, tiles, most plastics, glass, old concrete and more.'
Or maybe you guys have experience with another paint from Rustoleum. It has to be brushable?
It has to be this brand, sorry... because it seems that they are the only one that are also available in the EU...
POR15 is available here, and I used some on a very small part of the polyester, but it didn't adhere well, and was very glossy.
Any experience with the rustoleum?

It is a brand here made by rpm industries..yes there should be spray bombs available...
note, this is an alkyd based paint..would probably stick..
what polyester are you talking about?
i would suggest any acrylic solvent paint that states for multi surfaces..cleaning critical...
most home improvement or walmart auto store should carry
SEM brandseems pretty good for plastics and flexible primers
you can also dilute almost any material and spray..just use recommended solvent, i use rustoleum commercial and dilute 100 percent with acetone and use airbrush for frame..other areas..easier to control

POR is made to paint over tightly adhered surface rust. Sticking to plastic or clean metal surfaces is not its strong suit. It may work there, but why go to the trouble? You can put a vinyl/plastics paint on the polymer surfaces, and shoot a self-etching primer on bare (clean) metal then just topcoat with whatever you want. POR is expensive and a lot of trouble to lay down. Use it where it's needed.

The C3 fiberglass surfaces did not get painted. You can paint them, of course, but you don't need to. The firewall, engine compartment [painted] surfaces, cowl area, fender wells, and other 'blackout' surfaces were painted Satin Black. Some paint manufacturers call that "Semi-Flat" black or "trim" black paint.
I will look into some SEM products... I can't find Krylon in Belgium...
Would 'Trim Black' be good for the engine bay?
What would be a good primer to use for the polyester? (Also from SEM?)
