After installing new radiator, fuel tank, heater core, dash pad, and new passenger floor pan, ready for carpeting...whew...any advice on carpet adhesives would be appreciated. Thanks

Reason: Left out info
Place carpet humps in the back of the car for a few hours and let the sun get them warm. Use a soldering iron to make holes for seats, belts, and other items. Make small cuts, and go real slow. I left most pieces on the long side, like under the console. Purchase rubber plugs for the rear wall. I ran the carpet all the way to the door sills (covered seat belt reel under seat) made a slit in the carpet for seat belt to come through, so you don’t see the floor.
You only need adhesive on the vertical surfaces (firewall, bulkhead behind seats, back wall of cargo area). If you use the stock rubber plugs on the firewall and rear cargo wall, you don't need it on them either.
P.S. The rubber plugs are WAY more reliable than adhesive.........
Thought for you, I never glue in carpet as there is a good chance a C3 will get wet somewhere along the way with unexpected rain, washing etc. And you might want to pull it all out to dry.
By the time you get the seats in, tucked in behind the center console, plus door sills and kick panels, it seems to be pretty well located to me.
The only carpet glue coming from the Corvette factory was on the vertical bulkhead behind the seats. At least, that was the case with my '71. It had the original carpet in it when I purchased it in 2005.
