I want to express my appreciation for answering questions and providing assistance in problem resolution for my C3. Your insights and information provided here has been exemplary and greatly appreciated.
I sold my C3 yesterday and purchased a 2017 C7 Long Beach Red with 2,000 miles.
Nice new ride! We've had 2 C7's and 2 C3's. Currently have one of each. Our C7 is a great road trip car, canyon carver, etc. Love it. But 'The Beast' ('68) puts a smile on my face that the GS can't (for very different reasons) - at least for local driving and tooling around. As beautiful as the C7's are, C3's have really grown on me. Hopefully you'll be back into both! In the meantime, enjoy your beautiful new ride!

L-46man - I greatly appreciated all the assistance that you and other forum members have provided. Yes - there is a huge difference but with 35 years there should be. I enjoyed the C3 both working on it, driving it and sometimes just looking at it.
I still plan to read this forum, there are some amazing people here and you are one of them. I am amazed at the ability of people that perform a frame off restoration. I could live a 100 years and never come close to accomplishing that.
I hope all have the opportunity to enjoy the ride. Planning to drive the Kancamagus this weekend. For those not familiar you owe to yourself to take the drive.
Baja216 - This vehicle is amazing. I lusted after the vehicle after seeing it at the San Antonio auto show in 2014. I was presented withy an opportunity I could not pass up, a 2017 with 2,000 miles. The driving experience is well worth it. I would offer this, if it makes financial sense for you, I doubt that you would be disappointed.
For those of us that have been in the Corvette 'hobby' for many decades...it's STILL amazing the you can buy;
460 Hp as a base model
A Hatchback with really decent room (sorry C-8...you're NEVER going to cut it!)
Massive brakes
6 speed manual
And like 26 mpg.....man that is progress!
Let alone some of the 'big-doggies'!
Have Fun in ME! be careful! The first 6 weeks is the most dangerous!

"But honey...we don't need to remodel the bathrooms. Let's just make the garage bigger." I would have a 2003 C5 anniversary manual convertible if I could get away with it. Oh well...mega lottery drawing tonight. Best of luck with your new adventure.

I hope the weather is clear and youre the only one up there. I got lucky last fall and made it almost all the way to the top without having to pass too many people, the trip down suuuuuucked. I couldn't safely pass and the line was being help up by one knucklehead that wouldnt use the turn offs to enjoy the view instead of riding their brakes at 25 mph down the back. There was too much traffic coming up that side to turn around and make it worth it either. I surely hope you get the views and the speed enough to enjoy it.....
