Default Wouldn’t trade

Just watched motorweek review the c8. I am not ashamed to say I would not trade my ‘68 L36 for one. Maybe a for a big block C2, but the new ones just don’t interest me.

Next year the 2020 Corvette will be worth a little less than you'll pay for it today, while your '68 will be worth a little more than it is this year.

I KINDA wanted one......I did the math.....built the car online uncountable times..........and then online built a new Camaro LT1 with a 6 speed stick and it came in at half the cost.....

Then considered the 520 HP supercharged Camaro 6 speed stick in my garage....it is already paid for and runs like a scalded ape.....so....

No C8 at this time.

Yes but there will be many tens of thousands of dollars difference between the two. I love my C3 and C7 but let's face it, the C8 is a better car but our hearts go where they go.

I'm with you, wouldn't trade my C3 for the C8 or even a C2 for that matter.

I'm one of the few that I'm just not a fan of the C2's lines. I own a C3 because of the fantastic lines and curves , not because I had to settle or couldn't afford a C2.

With that said, the C8 is a fantastic car .

I don't think many C8 owners would offer to make that trade either.

Same with me, as impressive as the new SpaceX rocket performs, does not have that same vigor as the old Saturn V. :-)

I love the new C8....just waiting to win one in the Ronald McDonald House raffle. My problem will be garage space so likely the C3 would hafta go.

If it were not for the 1000 horses under the hood of my C7 I would be a definite buyer of the C8 …. … But the C3 would stay.

Once people become firmly accustomed to the C8 mid engine shape, Front engine sports cars will look grossly outdated.

Front Wheel Drive???

I own 3 Front wheel drive sports cars....they are fantastic. I've raced them to great effect. Surely you meant front engine, rear drive????

BTW....If I wanted a ACURA NSX Clone...I'd have bought one. Not a fan of the C-8. Styling was dated and disharmonious before it hit the streets. We own a classic.
Not so sure how history will treat the C-8. My prediction....though I'll be dead by then.....It's going to get all the respect a C-4 gets now.

Unkahal

Well heck, if it was an even trade, I would do it.
Then If I was in the mood I could sell it and get whatever I wanted. Been trading in cars for something different all my life.
Doubt if I could ever affoed one tho.

Keeping my 69 ... and .... I have a two car garage. I am on a wait list for a 2021 at this point.

Finally saw a C8 on the road today, although from a distance. True exotic look. The only thing about these cars I am not happy with is the color choices. The yellow looks green and Long Beach Red is gone. Oh wait, there is another thing, I really don't like the side scoop.

What? Really? That was one of the nicest C3s on the Forum. I hope it found a good home.

Congratulations.

I wouldn’t trade my C3 for a C8.
The C3 is an American classic, sports car and hot rod all rolled into one.
The C8’s are beautiful and if I wanted another new car to drive I would definitely purchase a C8.
Since I couldn’t afford both I’ll keep the C3.
