Just my $.02 - yes I've had the BFG letters turning tan also - just block sand them every now and then. I take a small 4" maple wood block with 400 grit stickit paper and give em a few strokes. The letters are flat faced so it works really well. They are bright white right under the surface. It takes no more time than scrubbing with normal cleanser
