Thats funny, every time someone asks about a black/black ‘69 I tell them to check the tag because most black ‘69s used to be Fathom Green.

I guess Fathom Green is the most-changed color. My 75 med saddle (exterior!) paint is-well was in that category. Looked like a root beer barrel.

I think you are wise to not have bought the car - the front clip is not a '69 and that alone would make me question if it was in an accident and had a bent frame. The pics showed a car that needed a lot of work, you would probably be better off waiting for a better one to come along.

That is the reason I asked to post the picture of the trim tag because 99% of sellers believe their car is a real 900 code car until the trim tag shows otherwise.
