Pull in garage. Shut car off. Grab a beer. I like it simple.

If you have a nice looking car, you should spray down and clean the lower rear quarters.
my c3 picks up a lot of crap and its easier to get off asap instead of letting the road grime sit and dry up.

After a drive and back in the garage, I generally raise the hood and have a beer. I like the smell and sounds as things cool off. I bought this car partly for the memories from the 60's and 70's. My wife thinks I'm nuts.

I agree with the 70 memories. Same here. Offbeat but anyone else look up major events and happenings in the year their car was new? Was one of the first things I did. For me 1973...Nixon was president and Ali fought Norton. Oh and the big movie was The Exorcist.

I could never live there, you live on a gravel road and have black car, that would drive me crazy

I let the car cool down for a few hours or overnight. When I put the cover back I also turn back on the fans box type of fans in the barn to blow air under the the car to keep critters away and to also eliminate condensation when it rains or high humidity times.

Pull it in garage, pop the hood, set fan behind it pulling air from under and out the door for a while before closing the garage. I don’t mind the car smell but the wife is not a fan of it. Won’t cover it, I keep my shoes just inside the walk-in door so I have an excuse to look at it a couple times a day. Yeah I’ve got a bad case of it.

No kidding. I can’t believe all the post-drive gyrations people do.

I leave the garage door up awhile so the garage doesn’t get stuffy but that’s about it for me. If it got a little dirty or dust got on it, it’s another excuse to wash it later.

Depending on which I drove, one I mist off with some detail spray. If I’ve driven the other(around the neighborhood) I pull it in quick and shut the garage door before the Popo shows up. Then I begin cleaning up all the stuff it has shaken off the walls and shelves. Both are fun but one is CRAZY FUN. Ooo yea both are covered after a cool down

I do not have a cover but I am lucky enough to have a dedicated 4th garage. I also raise the hood to allow it to cool off. Since I frequently check the fluids and dust off the engine (yeah I am that kind of person), I keep the hood up while in the garage.

Pull back in the garage, pop the hood and let it cool down for a few hours or so and then put the cover back on whenever I get around to it usually later that night...

Wow, glad to hear that, thought I was on my own in misting off with a spray after each use. I either use Meguiar's wash and wax or Quick wax.

Oh yeah. I wash the underside with a toothbrush, coat the paint with cosmoline, wipe the tail pipes out with Fabreeze, put her on jack stands, deflate the tires, and remove the seats and carpet. The last thingI do is hang a pine tree on the inside mirror. Can't be too fastidious.

Default Cool off in garage first

I let my 69 cool off in the garage with the hood open before covering it. Mine is a Tri-Power and has three carbs open to the atmosphere and you can always smell gas vapors in the garage, so I made a cover to go around the air cleaner to hold the vapors inside. take the top off the air cleaner and slip the plastic cover in place and put the lid back on. Works wonders and no gas smell in the garage. Just have to remember to remove it before trying to start the engine or it won't start.

It is unique that after every drive, the garage has that driven Corvette smell for days I love it!
