Jacking up my car was stressing me out big time for all the reasons stated above....so, I bought a QuickJack based on some recommendations from some on the forum and I cannot wait to start using it....should be here next week!
From: South of Phoenix Arizona, but North of no-where.
I noticed nobody mentioned about the TEE TOP panels when jacking?
I have been told many times to always remove them before jacking to prevent cracking. On my 61 (way back then ) I remember reading about unlatching the four corners of the hardtop before changing a tire. The previous owner of my 81 told me they cracked a panel when triple AAA changed a flat for his wife.
i always remove them anyhow but I have only jacked the car up in the shop.
