I have a brand new soft Top for my c3. Its looks 100% perfekt, but its have been in the box for 10-15 years, is that any problem? The Window looked great.
I really don't know. I will say, when I watched Al Knoch's employees install my soft top, they used a little bit of a hot air gun treatment to smouth out any wrinkles. Al Knoch has a video showing how to install a do-it-youself soft top.
I watched them install mine. I certainly could have done as good of a job. BTW: When they remove an old soft top, they normally just razor blade it off to remove it almost instantly. When I told them my old soft top, for the 68, was the original factory installed soft top, they painstakingly removed to do as little damage as possible. The reason is that if a NCRS judge complains that one of their repro softops does not look factory original, he can produce an original factory soft top to verify factory appearance.

I would clean and install the top.
My soft top was 45 years old. I unbolted the frame&soft top from the car...
gave it a very good scrubbinginside and out...let it sun dry....
applied a vinyl cleaner to bring out the black sheen.....reinstalled it.
It did not tear or rip when I clamped it in place.
Depending on material & temps, NOS plastic top may have shrunken enough that it pulls apart; hopefully not.
Good point.
Wait for a warm sunny day to GRADUALLY open the top once its installed on the car. Take all day if necessary to stretch the top until it will clamp to the windshield frame.
Try it. What the heck? Lay it out in the sun so it gets really warm and toasty and stretchy.

I purchased a new soft top for my 1970 back in Nov 2002, and it just got installed this year... so 18 years in a box. It all went well... no issues, no ripping and I think it came out very good. So you should go ahead and try it out.
